Substance Abuse

Adult Substances Abuse (In English & Spanish)

Substance abuse  among adults have been affecting families of the addict as well  as the users themselves.  In our society, adults are  constantly finding themselves making choices that not only effect their  own lives, but the lives of their love ones.  The families of the addict  needs to understand that chemical dependency (drugs and alcohol addiction) is not  a character weakness, it is a disease and it has to be treated as one.   Family member tend to silently concentrate on the addict and their addictive behaviors when they should be concentrating on educating themselves on addiction and how it is effecting their family member.  Without education, this can create conflict among the family.

Here at S.O.B.E.R. International, our counselors having first hand experience as a recovering addict themselves are able to relate to the client by sharing the tools needed to sustain a clean and sober lifestyle and become a successful member of society.
